“In the summer of 2016 I hit a milestone birthday and was not happy with the way I looked, so I committed to cleaning up my diet and eating healthy. In four months I had lost a significant amount of weight, but I realized I still wasn’t where I wanted to be physically. My daughter and good friend were GameChanger members and convinced me to try them out.
I remember attending my first class and feeling like a fish out of water. Sure, I had taken cardio and aerobic classes in the past, but never lifted weights. After the first 21 days I was hooked! I started seeing changes in my body and began feeling stronger than I had in years.
The coaches at GameChanger walk me through each exercise, teach me how to do it right and correct my form when needed. When I tore my meniscus, they adapted exercises to my ability and helped me strengthen that weak spot. They encourage me to try a bit more each time – a few more reps – a little more weight – and they celebrate my achievements. It’s great to know I can walk in, clear my mind and de-stress as the coaches take us through a new routine each class.
It’s been a little over a year since my first session and I’ve lost a few more pounds, I’m stronger, more toned and all around more active than ever. In addition, I’ve met a lot of supportive people who are there for the same reasons I am – to get stronger, healthier and feel better about themselves.
